This bariatric seed drink recipe is a quick, nourishing blend of chia, flaxseed, and hemp hearts designed to support weight loss, digestion, and satiety—perfect for post-op and everyday wellness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (240ml)
  • 1 tablespoon ground chia seeds (10g)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds (10g)
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds (10g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
  • 34 drops liquid stevia (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 scoop (15g) unflavored or vanilla protein isolate (optional, for extra protein)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Seeds: If your chia and flaxseeds aren’t pre-ground, grind them in a clean coffee grinder or high-powered blender until they reach a fine powder consistency.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add almond milk, ground chia seeds, ground flaxseeds, and hemp seeds to a blender.
  3. Add Flavorings: Add cinnamon, vanilla extract, and stevia (if using) to the blender.
  4. Add Protein (Optional): If using protein powder for additional protein, add it now.
  5. Blend: Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth with no visible seed particles.
  6. Serve: Pour into a glass and serve immediately. If you prefer a thicker consistency, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before consuming.
  7. Consume: Sip slowly over 15-20 minutes, as recommended for bariatric patients.

Notes

  • Adjust seed quantities if you’re new to high-fiber drinks.
